As part of the Graduate School of Education, the Rutgers Institute for Improving Student Achievement provides professional development and executive-level training for continuous improvement in the achievement of all students through the combined efforts of Rutgers, Pre K-12 districts, corporate affiliates, other professional organizations, and community partners.

Rutgers Institute for Science and Technology Leadership in Africa (RISTLA) aims to foster higher education for scientific research and development, and to grow the infrastructure to educate a highly trained technical African workforce. Over the long-term, RISTLA will help to overcome the lack of a critical mass of African scientists and engineers that limits the industrial and agricultural productive capacity in many African countries. RISTLA focuses on building workforce capacity to meet the enormous demand for new technologies in Africa.

The Rutgers Institute for Translational Medicine and Science (RITMS) is an interdisciplinary program that combines expertise in cellular, molecular, genetic, and clinical science. RITMS maintains basic research laboratory space in the Child Health Institute of New Jersey building. RITMS sponsors several educational, research, and training programs for students, staff, and faculty across the university. These programs are designed to facilitate training and research across the translational divide, from the cellular level to clinical trials. In addition to these programs, the institute provides regular visiting professorships, a quarterly seminar series that highlights the best minds in translational research and several programs supporting the career development of junior faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students.

The Rutgers Molecular Imaging Core is an advanced facility established by the Office for Research and intended for use primarily by Rutgers faculty. Organizations outside of Rutgers may inquire about using the facility on a fee-for-service basis. The center offers non-invasive approaches to observe disease states, disease progression and therapeutic responses in living systems and ex vivo organs.

The Rutgers Noise Technical Assistance Center is part of the Air and Noise Pollution Training Program in the Department of Environmental Sciences at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. The center has trained thousands of investigators from across the United States in sound level measurement for the purposes of evaluating compliance with local or state noise codes.

The Rutgers Oral History Archives records the personal narratives of men and women (either New Jersey residents and/or Rutgers University alumni, faculty or staff) who served on the home front and overseas during World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Cold War and the nation's most recent conflicts; people with a story to tell about some aspect of New Jersey's proud history, its towns and cities, its diverse populations, organizations within the Garden State and/or social/cultural movements and events, and men and women who helped shape the history of Rutgers University as students, alumni, faculty, staff and in other roles.

The Rutgers Plant Science Research and Extension Farm in Adelphia, NJ supports research and extension programs directly applicable to turf and agronomic crops and to plant and soil interactions. The farm's research is used in solving problems relating to fine and athletic field turf as well as the production of food, feed, or fiber and problems relating to environmental or aesthetic quality.

As part of the New Jersey Medical School, the Sarcoidosis Center has a team of professionals that specializes in treating all aspects of sarcoidosis—whether it involves the skin, lungs, eyes, heart, or any other organ. The center also includes experts from other fields of medicine, such as dermatology and dentistry/oral surgery, who possess extensive experience in treating sarcoidosis.

The Center for Teaching Advancement and Assessment Research supports teaching and learning through a variety of areas: pedagogy and faculty development, assessment programs, instructional technologies, classroom technologies, and faculty and staff information technologies.

As a central university resource, Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) provides instructional technology and course design support across all online and hybrid education at Rutgers. TLT is comprised of three units that were previously independent: Office of Instructional & Research Technology; Center for Online & Hybrid Learning and Instructional Technologies; and Rutgers Instructional Technology & eLearning Solutions. TLT oversees four learning management systems across the university: Canvas, Moodle, Sakai, and Coursera.
